Drugged motorcyclist without driving licence fled from police and crashed into a tree in the Klatovy district
Monday afternoon did not go well for a 37-year-old man on a motorcycle in the Klatovy district. Police noticed him in Sušice, where he was riding without registration plates. When the patrol indicated they wanted to carry out a check, he began to flee in the direction of Dlouhá Ves.
After several kilometres of pursuit, the rider left the main road onto a farm track. There he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a tree. Rescue workers treated him and handed him over to the air rescue service with serious injuries, which transported him to hospital.
The investigation revealed further problems. The man does not have a valid driving licence and a drug test came back positive. The case thus takes on another dimension – in addition to dangerous driving, it also involves driving under the influence of drugs.
