A fraudster extracted 422,000 crowns from a woman in the Žďár nad Sázavou region. The perpetrator presented himself to the woman as a financial adviser and offered her an investment with high returns. The victim subsequently sent him the money, after which the man went silent.

The fraudster communicated with the woman through the WhatsApp mobile application. Initially, he promised her returns and maintained regular contact. However, once the victim transferred the financial resources, he stopped responding to her messages. The woman then realised that she had become a victim of a criminal act and reported the entire matter to the police.

Police officers are investigating the case as fraud. They are urging citizens to be cautious of similar offers and not to send money to unknown individuals. Financial fraud via the internet and mobile applications has been increasing recently.
