15-year-old causes accident on A9 near Allershausen – intoxicated and under the influence of drugs
A 15-year-old drove his mother's car onto the A9 and caused a serious accident whilst intoxicated and under the influence of drugs. A 16-year-old passenger was seriously injured.
Minor crashes mother's stolen car into crash barrier on A9
A 15-year-old caused a serious accident on the A9 motorway near Allershausen on Saturday evening whilst driving his mother's vehicle. According to the Süddeutsche Zeitung, the teenager was under the influence of alcohol, cannabis and antidepressants at the time of the accident.
At approximately 21:35, the minor from Freising district drove onto the A9 heading towards Munich. When switching to the third lane, he failed to notice the vehicle of a 61-year-old Munich resident. Due to the force of the collision, the teenager's car then skidded into the crash barrier.
The 15-year-old himself and the 61-year-old Munich resident were slightly injured, whilst a 16-year-old passenger in the vehicle of the person responsible was seriously injured. All three injured persons were transported to nearby hospitals by ambulance. The volunteer fire brigade of Allershausen secured the accident site with 20 emergency personnel.
The car belonged to the mother of the teenager, who was on holiday at the time of the accident. Material damage to her vehicle amounted to 20,000 euros, whilst damage to the Munich resident's car came to 15,000 euros. The breath alcohol level of the 15-year-old was 1.02 per mille.
The police initiated proceedings against the teenager for negligent bodily injury in road traffic, endangering road traffic as a result of alcohol and drug consumption, and driving without a driving licence.
