17-year-old insults police officers via emergency call after being banned from venue in Gilching
A 17-year-old from Wessling made a €700 order "for fun" and insulted police officers via emergency call. He is now under investigation.
Dispute at fast-food restaurant ends with investigation into teenager
According to the Süddeutsche Zeitung, in the night leading into Thursday a 17-year-old from Wessling became involved in conflict with staff at a fast-food restaurant in Gilching and subsequently with police. A patrol team from Gauting police station noticed a verbal dispute between several youths and a restaurant employee at around 0.50 a.m. on Landsberger Strasse and mediated the disagreement.
The incident was triggered by a deliberate order: the teenager had previously ordered goods worth approximately €700 "for fun" at an ordering terminal. Staff cancelled the order and issued the 17-year-old with a ban from the premises. The officers on the scene also issued the intoxicated Wessling resident with a notice to leave the area.
The young man initially complied with the notice to leave. A short time later, however, he called the police emergency line to the control centre in Ingolstadt, complained about the notice to leave and demanded to be connected with the officers on the scene. In the course of the conversation, he insulted the female officer at the control centre and the previously deployed officers from Gauting police station multiple times.
At the beginning of the call, the teenager had introduced himself using a false name. However, he was quickly identified based on his phone number. Shortly afterwards, he called the emergency line again and falsely claimed that he had been hit by restaurant staff.
An investigation has now been opened against the 17-year-old for insult, misuse of emergency calls and a regulatory offence for providing false identity information.
