Gunfire in Adlershof: 20-year-old injured, state crime office investigates

Following an attempted murder in Berlin-Adlershof, the state crime office is appealing for public assistance, as tagesspiegel.de reports. The incident occurred during the night into Friday at approximately 4.40 a.m. in the area of Dörpfeldstraße, Marktplatz Adlershof and Anna-Seghers-Straße.

According to investigators' current findings, a total of 17 shots are believed to have been fired, with multiple persons and vehicles apparently involved. A 20-year-old who was struck by at least one projectile was taken to hospital.

The suspected crime scene at the corner of Dörpfeldstraße and Süßer Grund is heavily frequented during the day. Across the street is a marketplace, and the surrounding area contains shops, food stalls and a drugstore. According to the investigation, shots were fired at a residential building with multiple units.

Anyone who observed suspicious persons, vehicles or unusual noises on the night of the incident is asked to contact 030 4664-911666 or email [email protected].

The offence is part of a series of gun violence on Berlin streets. Already during the night into Monday, a 27-year-old was shot outside a bar in Neukölln; police are searching for two suspects in that case.

Since October 2025, Berlin police have been operating a special unit against increasing gun violence. The unit, initially launched as BAO "Park", was reinforced in mid-November under the name BAO "Ferrum" — Latin for "iron".
