18-year-old seriously wounded by knife after street festival in Sprockhövel
An 18-year-old was seriously wounded by knife stabs following the street festival "Nach(t)schlag" in Sprockhövel. Criminal police are investigating on suspicion of attempted manslaughter.

Knife attack after street festival: 18-year-old undergoes emergency surgery
In Sprockhövel, North Rhine-Westphalia, an 18-year-old was seriously wounded by knife stabs during the night into Sunday. According to BILD, the attack occurred approximately half an hour after the end of the popular street festival "Nach(t)schlag" – not far from the party area on Mittelstraße, near the bus station.
Crime scene photographs show blood traces on and in front of a bench in the immediate vicinity of the bus station, as well as police markings. According to reports, the victim suffered stab wounds to the spleen and buttocks and required emergency surgery. There is no danger to life.
Police cordoned off the crime scene and evacuated the bus station. Evidence collection and initial investigations continued into the night. Criminal police are investigating on suspicion of attempted manslaughter.
According to initial findings, there was a physical altercation between two groups prior to the attack, police stated. Further details could not be disclosed at this time.
