A 32-year-old from Bremen has confessed before the Bremen Regional Court to having killed his 67-year-old father in March. According to butenunbinnen.de, a court spokesman stated after the start of proceedings: "The defendant has fully admitted the charges."
According to the public prosecutor's office, father and son drank alcohol together in their flat in Blumenthal. The father is said to have insulted his son. The defendant then allegedly stabbed the 67-year-old with an object made of wood and metal and subsequently strangled him. The victim died at the scene.
The public prosecutor's office has charged the man with manslaughter. He turned himself in to police during the night on Friday.
