According to police in North Rhine-Westphalia, three robberies occurred on 25 and 26 May 2026, each between 10:00 and 11:00, in the districts of Engelsholt, Pongs and Stadtwald in Mönchengladbach.

On 25 May, at approximately 10:10, an unknown offender struck a young woman in the face on a field path in the Engelsholt area, knocked her to the ground and tore several chains from her neck.

The following day, a young woman in Stadtwald had her mobile telephone stolen at around 10:00. When she resisted and demanded the device back, the suspect punched her repeatedly with his fist.

About 45 minutes later, on a field path near Pongser Kamp, the same suspect tore several chains from the neck of a 13-year-old girl as she cycled past him.

In all three cases, the offender was in possession of a men's bicycle. Police have released a composite sketch and are asking the public for information to help identify the suspect.
