Burglary at Munich handbag shop: 50 bags worth six figures stolen
Unknown assailants broke into a handbag shop on Munich's Schwanthalerstraße during the night leading into Sunday. Despite triggering an alarm, they escaped with around 50 bags. The damage is in the six-figure range.

Unknown assailants broke into a handbag shop on Munich's Schwanthalerstraße during the night leading into Sunday. The damage incurred amounts to a six-figure sum.
Around 2.45 a.m., the perpetrators forced their way into the shop and triggered an alarm in the process. However, before the first police patrols arrived, the burglars had already fled. From the stockroom, they stole approximately 50 handbags.
An immediate search operation by officers proved unsuccessful. The perpetrators managed to escape.
Police are now seeking witnesses who made any notable observations in the area of Schwanthaler-, Schiller- and Bayerstraße around the time of the incident.
