Break-in at toy shop in Karlstein: pursuit ends with arrest in Frankfurt
After a break-in in Karlstein, a suspect led police on a pursuit to Frankfurt. A 33-year-old was arrested, a second perpetrator remains at large.

Video footage showed two men who stole playing cards together with display cases worth several tens of thousands of euros and subsequently fled in a car.
A police patrol located the suspects' vehicle shortly afterwards. The driver accelerated and evaded the stop – during his escape he grazed the patrol car and caused minor damage. The flight led via the A3 motorway towards Frankfurt am Main, then continued along the A661. At the Bad Homburg motorway interchange, the vehicle switched to the A5 motorway in the opposite direction. At times police lost sight of the car; a helicopter was also deployed for the search.
Finally the getaway vehicle crashed in Frankfurt am Main. Officers surrounded the car and provisionally arrested one of the two suspects: a 33-year-old from North Rhine-Westphalia. The second suspect allegedly left the car during the journey – he was no longer in the vehicle at the time of arrest. Police continue to search for him and are appealing for information from witnesses.
