Following an early-morning traffic accident with a seriously injured person in Mannheim, police secured a large quantity of controlled substances in the accident vehicle. He sustained severe injuries and was taken to hospital; there is no threat to life according to police. The 22-year-old passenger was slightly injured and treated on an outpatient basis.
