Youth Trainer Held on Remand for Child Abuse
A 43-year-old trainer of a Bavarian shooting club is being held on remand. Investigators are examining whether there are further victims.
Suspicion of Sexual Abuse
A 43-year-old youth trainer at Zeidlerschützen Feucht is being held on remand. The Nuremberg-Fürth state prosecutor's office accuses him of sexually abusing at least two children on multiple occasions between 2025 and 2026. According to BILD, the alleged victims are eight and eleven years old.
An investigating judge issued an arrest warrant against the man from Nürnberger Land district. Police arrested him on Tuesday; a day later he was placed on remand. The accused has not yet commented on the charges themselves. His lawyer declined to make a statement.
Task Force to Identify Further Victims
The Schwabach criminal police inspectorate established a task force to fully investigate the case and examine whether there may be additional victims. The 43-year-old had been a member of the shooting club for many years and recently worked as a youth leader and trainer. Zeidlerschützen Feucht has approximately 120 members, of whom around 45 per cent are young people.
Club master Jens Gießwein told the newspaper that the suspect had already been a club member when he himself joined in 2001. The allegations had caused considerable distress within the club. The man most recently lived in the immediate vicinity of the club premises.
