Young man injured at Scheidplatz in Munich – murder squad investigates
A man aged around 20 was found with a bleeding wound to the lower body at Scheidplatz in Schwabing early on Sunday. Police are investigating on suspicion of attempted homicide.

A young man was apprehended at Scheidplatz in the Munich district of Schwabing-West just before 2 a.m. on Sunday. According to the Süddeutsche Zeitung, the man, aged around 20 and registered in Munich, had a bleeding wound to the lower body when passers-by discovered him lying on the ground.
The injury pattern suggested attempted homicide – a different pattern from typical assaults. Criminal Investigation Division 11 of the Bavarian Police, which handles murder and manslaughter cases in the state capital, immediately took over the investigation.
On Sunday evening, investigators were unable to make any definitive statements about the weapon used. Police ruled out a firearm. The perpetrator remains at large and is being sought. The authorities announced that further details would be released on Monday.
