Mother and son found dead in Geretsried – suspect from family circle arrested
A senior woman and her adult son were found lifeless in a flat on Königsberger Weg in Geretsried. Criminal investigators from Weilheim arrested a suspect from the family's circle.
Double death in Geretsried: police arrest suspect
Two people were found dead in a multi-family house on Königsberger Weg in Geretsried on Tuesday morning. According to the Süddeutsche Zeitung, citing security sources, the victims were a senior woman and her adult son. An emergency doctor was only able to confirm the deaths of both.
The integrated control centre was informed at around 11.10 a.m. of a "suspicious observation" in the building. A police patrol from Geretsried subsequently attended and found the two lifeless persons in the flat. From the outset there were concrete indications of external intervention – a sign that both may have become victims of a crime.
The Weilheim criminal investigation department took over the investigation. According to information from the German Press Agency from security sources, a suspect was apparently quickly identified and arrested. The suspect is said to come from the family circle of the victims. He poses no further danger.
The offence occurred in the town in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district. Investigators are now appealing for witnesses: anyone who observed anything suspicious in the vicinity of the multi-family house between Monday evening, 31 August, and Tuesday midday, 1 September, should contact Weilheim criminal police.
