Two dead in Geretsried: criminal police identify suspect
A woman and her adult son have been found dead in an apartment building on Königsberger Weg in Geretsried (Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district). According to n-tv, investigators are assuming foul play.
On Monday morning, the integrated control centre received a report of a suspicious incident in the building. A patrol unit then proceeded to the address. "A resident and her adult son were found lifeless there. A doctor called to the scene confirmed the death of both persons," police said.
Investigators point to "concrete indications of foul play". The motives and precise sequence of events remain the subject of ongoing investigations, according to police. According to security sources, a suspect has since been identified.
Criminal police in Weilheim are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Anyone who noticed suspicious persons, vehicles or other unusual activity in the area of the apartment building between Monday night, 31 August, and Tuesday morning, 1 September 2026, until midday is asked to contact Weilheim criminal police inspectorate on 0881-640-0 or any other police station.
