Police investigate Berlin restaurateur "Redo" over Lamborghini drive on Ku'damm
René "Redo" Dost drove an 800,000-euro Lamborghini along the Ku'damm – a 20-year-old woman was injured in the process. Police are investigating on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident.

Berlin restaurateur and social media star René "Redo" Dost (57) is facing investigation pressure after a show-off drive in his new Lamborghini Revuelto along the Kurfürstendamm escalated. According to BILD, a 20-year-old woman was injured in the process – police are now investigating, among other things, on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident.
Dost had previously invited his hundreds of thousands of followers on social media to admire him on the Ku'damm. "On Sunday at 2 p.m. I cruise up and down Kurfürstendamm all the time," he announced in advance online. He wanted to present the new sports car to the public – the 800,000-euro vehicle, which he had described to BILD as "love at first sight". "Tell all your friends. I'm looking forward to seeing you and want to give something back a bit. I hope the whole Kurfürstendamm gets packed."
The turnout was indeed enormous. Masses of young fans surrounded the sports car. Dost honked, asked the crowd to keep their distance and called out: "I really urgently need security. NOW!" As he drove on, some of the fans pushed onto the road – in the process, Dost ran over the foot of a young woman.
A police officer approached the side window and explained the situation to him: "You've just driven over a girl's foot. She's injured now. That means we have to file a traffic accident report. You're the subject of a criminal offence, this is negligent assault." Dost stated that he had not noticed anything.
According to the Berliner Morgenpost, the 20-year-old had to be treated as an outpatient at a hospital. The investigation is directed against Dost on suspicion of negligent assault and leaving the scene of an accident. In addition, the "unnecessary driving behaviour" during the multiple passes along the Ku'damm is in focus – with possible consequences for his driving licence.
According to his own statements, Dost operates 19 restaurants, one hotel and 17 limited companies. He had described the Lamborghini as a symbol of his life's achievements: "For 35 years of hard work. For much sacrifice." Following the events, he drew a sobering conclusion on his channels: "That's definitely never going to happen again. That wasn't my intention for it to turn out like this. Simply shit."
