In the basement of an auto workshop in Remscheid, officers uncovered one of the largest weapons finds in the history of the Federal Republic. Behind camouflaged doors and hidden rooms lay an enormous arsenal of war weapons.
During the search of the apartment building, investigators discovered machine guns, assault rifles, explosives and hand grenades. According to BILD, the enumeration of ready-to-fire weapons in the courtroom alone took 18 minutes. Additionally, officers found more than 90,000 rounds of ammunition.
The owner of the property, Konstantin I., is suspected of operating the weapons cache. The precise functioning of the network and the full extent of the seized weapons are currently being investigated by the authorities.
