Shots fired in Cologne-Mülheim: 41-year-old shot outside restaurant, suspect arrested
A 41-year-old was injured by gunfire outside a restaurant in Cologne-Mülheim in the evening. Police arrested a 28-year-old suspect at the Rhine bank in Porz.

Shooting attack on restaurant guest in Cologne-Mülheim
According to BILD, multiple shots were fired in the evening in Cologne-Mülheim near Schanzenstraße. A 41-year-old was sitting in the outdoor area of an Asian restaurant when an attacker shot him multiple times from across the square.
The perpetrator, a 28-year-old, initially fled the scene. However, police officers from Cologne police soon apprehended him at the Rhine bank in Porz.
The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the foot and was immediately taken to hospital, where he underwent surgery. According to BILD, there is no risk to life.
The background to the attack remains unclear according to police. According to the victim's account, family disputes are said to have been the trigger. "Investigations are only now beginning," said a police spokesman. Criminal police secured evidence at the scene.
