A young man was assaulted in Halberstadt on late Thursday afternoon. At around 6 p.m., the 18-year-old and two companions were at a stop on Kühlinger Straße when a stranger approached them.
The unknown man initially asked for a cigarette and then demanded that they empty their pockets. When the victim took out an electronic cigarette, the attacker threatened him with physical violence and snatched the device from his hand. He then ran off in the direction of Lindenweg.
The material loss amounts to a low two-digit sum. The responsible station has opened criminal proceedings for robbery.
The suspect is described as follows: approximately 25 to 30 years old, 1.70 to 1.75 metres tall, stocky build, dark blonde hair, three-day stubble. He wore dark jogging trousers, a dark hooded sweatshirt and white trainers. He spoke standard German without a noticeable regional accent.
