The flight led through Neukölln to Gropiusstadt, where the vehicle was damaged and came to a halt. A subsequent attempt to flee on foot failed: the 34-year-old was apprehended.
Officers found a blank-firing weapon in the car, suspected stolen goods, and tools that are said to indicate planned burglaries. The vehicle had been reported as stolen, and the number plates did not belong to the car. The man also did not possess a driving licence. He is now being investigated on suspicion of multiple criminal offences.
