Missing children in Saalfeld: police search for Bil (3), Malouk (4) and their foster mother
Since 17 September 2026, two small girls and their foster mother in Saalfeld have vanished without trace. Thuringia police are appealing for witnesses.
Three people missing without trace in Saalfeld since 17 September
As BILD reports, two small girls and their foster mother are being sought in Saalfeld (Thuringia). Bil (3) and Malouk (4) were last living under the care of their foster mother when all three disappeared without announcement on 17 September 2026.
The biological mother and another family member filed a report with police approximately one week after the disappearance. According to police, it remains unclear why the foster mother left the shared flat with the two children. All three missing persons hold South Sudanese nationality.
Thuringia police are now seeking witnesses who have seen the children or the foster mother since 17 September or who can provide information about their whereabouts. Police in Saalfeld are taking calls on 03671 560, the criminal police in Saalfeld on 03672 4171464, and any other police station.
