Two assaults on railway staff in Munich: ticket inspector attacked, train driver knocked down
Two railway employees were physically assaulted in Munich over a weekend. Both suspected perpetrators were arrested by police.

Two assaults on railway staff occurred over a weekend in Munich, according to the Süddeutsche Zeitung.
On Friday afternoon, a ticket inspection in the S8 escalated: a 21-year-old became aggressive after the inspection and struck a 51-year-old ticket inspector at Englschalking station. The attacker bit a passer-by in the arm who rushed to help the inspector.
A day later, on Saturday, a 46-year-old suddenly attacked a 25-year-old train driver at Feldmoching station who was just about to take over an S-Bahn. The attacker knocked down the train driver and then kicked him repeatedly. Two witnesses intervened and prevented further assaults.
In both cases, the police who were alerted arrested the suspects.
