Two men shot dead on factory premises in Hamburg's Schanzenviertel district
Shots were fired at a factory site on Lagerstraße on Tuesday evening – two men were killed. The murder investigation squad is investigating.

Two men were shot dead on a factory premises on Hamburg's Lagerstraße, near the television tower and close to the exhibition grounds, on Tuesday evening shortly after 10 p.m. According to BILD, the first patrol cars found two seriously injured men, both of whom succumbed to their injuries.
According to BILD's information, one of the victims was shot in the abdomen – a main artery was presumably severed. He bled to death in the ambulance; the emergency doctor could only confirm his death. The second man was found fatally injured inside the building.
The murder investigators are working on the assumption of a "prior relationship between perpetrator and victim": the perpetrator or perpetrators are not believed to have encountered the victims by chance. What connection existed between them and what lay behind the bloodshed remains unclear.
The building houses the meat products manufacturer "DELTA Fleisch Hamburg" as well as the boxing gym "Universum Boxing". Emergency services, fire brigade and emergency doctor were initially unable to enter the building as there could still have been armed perpetrators inside.
Police were on site with a large contingent throughout the night – around 30 patrol cars from across the city were deployed. Numerous officers secured the area with submachine guns. In addition, federal police units were deployed in support. With more than two dozen patrol cars and a drone, police searched throughout the night for the perpetrator or perpetrators – without result by Wednesday morning.
The Hamburg Public Prosecutor's Office for capital crimes has taken over the investigation. A murder investigation squad secured traces at the crime scene overnight wearing white protective suits.
