A shooting from a moving car occurred around midnight at Schillerpromenade in Neukölln. Two men were wounded in the incident. According to berliner-kurier.de, one of the men was hit in the leg and was taken to hospital. The second injured man refused transport and was treated in the ambulance.
The two victims went to a premises in Herrfurthstraße following the attack, where they were given initial treatment by paramedics. Emergency doctors and emergency medical technicians took over further medical care. Police officers secured the crime scene with submachine guns.
The motive for the shooting remains unclear at present. According to reports from berliner-kurier.de, police are investigating and also examining a possible connection to the clan underworld. The getaway vehicle was found burnt out during the night – the perpetrators had apparently deliberately set the vehicle on fire. The search for the car led investigators quickly to the vehicle, though clues to the fleeing trio are still lacking.
