Officers arriving at the scene found a man dead and a woman seriously injured. The woman was taken to a hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. According to eyewitnesses, multiple shots were fired on a street lined with residential buildings.
When emergency services arrived at Händelstraße around 08:00 German time, they discovered both victims at the entrance of a residential building. A police spokesman explained that officers immediately provided first aid. "The rescue teams and an emergency doctor treated the woman further," the spokesman said. However, she died later.
The identities of the two individuals and the exact circumstances of the incident remain unknown. What exactly occurred in the residential area remains unclear. According to current findings, the injuries appear to have been caused by firearms. A police spokesman told BILD that a weapon was found near the crime scene. However, he stressed that the exact circumstances have not yet been fully clarified.
The crime scene was cordoned off over a large area. Investigations and forensic examination are proceeding at full speed. According to police, there is no danger to the public. According to current information, investigators believe that only the two deceased were involved in the incident.
