17-year-old arrested for attempted knife murder in Taastrup more than a year after incident

Arrest in knife attack case in Taastrup dating back more than eighteen months
More than a year after an alleged attempted murder on Gadehavegårdsvej in Taastrup, police have arrested another suspect in the case. According to B.T., a 17-year-old boy is to be presented for a preliminary hearing at Glostrup District Court on Saturday morning, and the prosecution is seeking to have him remanded in custody.
The 17-year-old is suspected of attempted manslaughter. The incident took place on 3 April last year at 18:30, when Copenhagen West Police received a report of a knife attack at the location. Two young men were found injured and taken to hospital; police described their condition as critical at the time.
Chief of shift at Copenhagen West Police Jannich Stæhr confirms the arrest and states that a number of other people are also charged in the case. However, it has not been possible to obtain information about the precise number of suspects or the specific basis for the charges. It is likewise unclear whether the other suspects remain in custody.
Police made the first arrests in the hours following the knife attack. The day after, three boys and men aged 15 to 19 were remanded in custody, and a 19-year-old subsequently turned himself in to police and was likewise detained. A 32-year-old man was additionally arrested and charged with attempted murder.
Jannich Stæhr states that police are not searching for further suspected perpetrators in the case.
