Three arrested following knife attack on young boy in Frederikshavn

A 17-year-old boy was stabbed three times in the abdomen with a knife on Sunday morning in Frederikshavn. According to B.T., three people have subsequently been arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

The boy was transported to Aalborg University Hospital for surgery. He is currently not in a critical condition, but the operation will determine whether his internal organs have been hit.

Police do not yet know with certainty who stabbed the 17-year-old. However, all three arrested individuals are charged with aggravated assault – a provision that covers attacks of a particularly brutal, savage or dangerous nature.

It is unclear how old the arrested individuals are, or whether they have a relationship to the victim.

Duty Chief Martin Møller from North Jutland Police told TV2 Nord that it was apparently a group of young people who had been drinking. The 17-year-old was so intoxicated that police have not yet been able to question him.
