Mid and West Zealand Police are searching for 31-year-old Anas Hamad, after he fled from staff on Thursday at approximately 13:30 during an escorted visit to the shopping centre Field's in Copenhagen. Police announced this in a post on Police Update on Friday, as reported by B.T.
Hamad is on a court order, but police have not disclosed which institution he is affiliated with, nor what he was convicted of.
At the time of his escape, he was wearing black jogging trousers and a burgundy-coloured shirt. Police believe he is likely still in Copenhagen.
Police have released a photograph of the man and are urging citizens who see him to contact police. The announcement emphasises that members of the public should not approach Hamad themselves.
