Police presentation on fraud interrupted – by a fraudster calling live
In the middle of a presentation on telephone fraud, an unknown fraudster called one of the attendees. Politiken reports on the case, which illustrates the pressure on Danish police.

Fraudster called during police warning
According to Politiken, officer Erik Schramm from Sydøstjyllands Police was interrupted in the middle of his presentation on telephone fraud when a participant's mobile phone suddenly rang from an unknown number.
It was Kirsten Jacobsen's phone that rang – and the call came from a fraudster.
The episode underscores a challenge that police know all too well: many elderly people are subjected to digital fraud, and the cases place increasing pressure on the authorities. Erik Schramm believes that politicians can do more and is calling for new legislation that can stop the criminals.
