Nine people are now in custody following a morning operation in which Mid- and West Zealand Police targeted a criminal environment suspected of organised drug trafficking.

All nine were arrested early in the day in a coordinated operation against what police characterise as a structured network in West Zealand. None of the arrested individuals admitted to any criminal conduct when officers apprehended them.

The charges relate to establishing the framework for the sale and resale of intoxicating substances. The court chose to close its doors during the bail hearing, and the judge has simultaneously imposed a ban on publishing the names of the detained individuals. This was announced by the prosecution authority at the local police station on the platform Anklager Update according to DR.

The remand detention is valid provisionally for the coming month. Further information about the extent of the network and which substances have been in circulation has not yet been released.
