Police used a new digital tool to shut down drug profiles on Snapchat during this year's Aalborg Carnival. Between 50 and 60 profiles were affected.

North Jutland Police shut down between 50 and 60 Snapchat profiles during this year's Aalborg Carnival using a new intelligence tool directed at digital drug sellers, reports DR Nyheder.
According to police, the profiles are used by dealers as their primary sales channel.
"Our intelligence showed that the sellers were really under pressure – in one blow we managed to shut down their primary sales channel," says police inspector Claus Danø in a press release from the police district.
