Taxi driver charged with murder in Søborg: 'I feared for my life'
A 36-year-old taxi driver testified in Glostrup District Court that he drove suspects away from the scene after the shooting on Novembervej on 2 May. He denies guilt.

Taxi driver heard shots near crime scene – continued driving
A 36-year-old taxi driver gave evidence on Monday in Glostrup District Court, where he is charged together with three other men with murder and attempted murder. The case concerns the shooting on Novembervej in Søborg on 2 May 2025, in which a 35-year-old man was shot while his 12-year-old niece sat in the passenger seat of the car. B.T. is present at the trial.
The taxi driver, who has a Pakistani background and has driven a taxi for just over ten years, knew one of the other defendants. According to the prosecution, it was this man – also with a Pakistani background – who ordered the murder.
The two had regular contact via Snapchat, and the driver often gave him a discount in exchange for cash payment.
Drove the defendant to the crime scene
The day before the murder, the taxi driver drove the defendant to Novembervej. In court, a Snapchat video was shown that the driver had recorded himself from the taxi at the location.
On 2 May around 1 p.m., the defendant contacted him again. The driver drove him to Novembervej, where he went into a residential building and returned shortly afterwards. The defendant then asked the driver to return one to two hours later and pick up two other men at the same location.
The taxi driver made a brief stop at a nearby petrol station, returned and parked near the crime scene. He sent the defendant pictures of where the car was parked.
Heard bangs – did not react
While sitting in the taxi, the driver heard bangs. He could not remember how many there were or how far away they sounded, and according to his account he did not react particularly.
After some time, a man got into the taxi and they drove away from the location. During the journey, the man asked the driver to turn around to pick up another person. Another man got in on a closed road.
The driver described one man as looking Asian, while the other was Danish and had tattoos up his neck. The men seemed calm and talked together in the back seat – though they fell silent for a brief moment when a police car passed.
The driver took the man with the tattoos to an address in the Fredensborg area and the other to an address on Amager. He explained in court that he thought the course of events was strange, but did not think further about it at the time.
Became frightened – did not contact police
The day after the murder, on 3 May, the driver heard what had happened on Novembervej.
"I became frightened. I think: What have I got myself into?" he explained in court.
He did not contact the police.
"Because I was frightened. I feared for my life," he said.
He also continued to drive for the defendant, because he did not dare change his behaviour towards him.
The prosecution believes that the taxi driver helped transport the other defendants away from the crime scene after the shooting. He denies guilt.
His defence counsel, Thomas Brædder, has emphasised that his client is a family man with three children and has over ten years' experience as a taxi driver. The defence counsel further stresses that his client has no connections to gangs or criminal organisations, and that he cooperated with the police.
All four defendants deny guilt in the murder and attempted murder charges. Judgment is expected on 27 November.
