Arrests on Larsbjørnsstræde: two men taken away in forensic suits
Two men were arrested on Sunday morning on Larsbjørnsstræde in central Copenhagen, according to Politiken. They were, according to duty chief at Copenhagen Police Rune Nørgaard, taken away wearing forensic suits.
"We are here to investigate a suspicious matter," said Nørgaard.
According to an Ekstra Bladet reporter at the scene, the two men were taken from a basement shop and placed in separate police vehicles.
Police are currently not disclosing what the men are charged with, or whether anyone has been injured. However, the duty chief emphasised that there is no danger to residents in the area.
Earlier in the day, police worked at another address in connection with a report of an attempted rape. Central investigation leader Jesper Schroll told Ekstra Bladet that the arrests are not immediately related to that case.
Ekstra Bladet also reports that the outlet earlier in the morning saw a photograph of a woman who was taken into a police vehicle in a forensic suit. According to the outlet, nothing suggests that she has been arrested in connection with the case.
