24-year-old man shot in leg during police pursuit in Haderslev
A 24-year-old man was hit by a police bullet in the leg on Sunday morning during a pursuit in Haderslev. He is not in danger of losing his life.

Police fired shots at a 24-year-old man in Haderslev on Sunday morning, according to TV 2 Nyheder. The man was hit in the leg and was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment. According to the Independent Police Complaints Authority (DUP), he is not in danger of losing his life.
The incident occurred during a pursuit in which police fired shots at the young man. It was officers from Sydøstjyllands Police – a different police district from the local one – who carried out the pursuit and fired the shots. Sydøstjyllands Police declined to comment to TV 2 and referred to the DUP.
The case has been handed over to the Independent Police Complaints Authority, which will assess whether the rules regarding use of force have been complied with. The authority received notification shortly after ten o'clock on Sunday morning and immediately initiated an investigation.
Police cordoned off several stretches in and around Haderslev in connection with the investigation. This includes Moltrup Landevej from the town boundary to the junction with Norgesvej, Ribevej in the eastbound direction from the E45 exit 68, and the junction of Ribe Landevej/Elmevej in the westbound direction. The cordons are for an indefinite period, and road users are advised to use Haderslev S exit.
