Man arrested in Haina over alleged robbery of comedian Kenny Grullón
Police have captured Yefry Manuel Jiménez, alias "Babo", accused of robbing and gagging actor Kenny Grullón in his residence in the Zona Universitaria.

The National Police arrested Yefry Manuel Jiménez, alias "Babo" or "Jefry", in Haina, identified as the man who allegedly robbed and gagged actor and comedian Kenny Grullón inside his residence in the Zona Universitaria, according to a report by ciudadoriental.com.
Police spokesman Diego Pesqueira reported that Jiménez was detained by agents of the DICRIM in compliance with arrest warrant 2026-AJ0086136. The arrest was coordinated with prosecutor Liyanny del Orbe María of the jurisdiction of the National District.
The robbery occurred on 2 September. According to the investigation, the defendant entered the home after forcing a rear door and threatened Grullón with a sharp object. He stole an iPhone 13 Pro Max, a yellow gold ring, and cash. During the police operation, the victim's telephone and wedding ring were recovered.
Jiménez has accumulated more than ten police records for threats, assault, domestic violence, violent robbery, and motorcycle theft. The record corresponds to cases in Los Bajos de Haina, San Cristóbal, Santo Domingo, and the National District, registered between 2020, 2021, and 2024.
In one of the incidents in 2024, security cameras allegedly captured him while stealing a motorcycle, according to the police report.
