Murder of Julián Oro Duro's wife: Police trace cameras and gather evidence

According to reports from elnacional.com.do, the National Police, through the Central Directorate of Criminal Investigations (Dicrim), and the Public Prosecutor's Office are intensifying inquiries into the murder of Zeneida Socorro Castillo, wife of merenguero Gilberto Julián Sarante, known artistically as Julián Oro Duro, which occurred at the artist's residence in the Brisa Oriental sector, Santo Domingo Este.
National Police spokesman Diego Pesqueira stated that teams have been working at the scene since the early morning hours with the objective of reconstructing the chronology of the attack and determining how the assailants managed to gain entry to the property. To date, authorities have not confirmed the existence of any detainees.
As part of the investigative process, Scientific Police experts and Dicrim officers are conducting fingerprint analysis, photographic examination of the property and cross-referencing of images from surveillance cameras both at the residence and on surrounding roads. Authorities are also conducting interviews with individuals connected to the case.
Investigators are seeking to establish the exact time of entry of the intruders and the moment Castillo's death occurred, in order to determine how long the assailants remained at the location.
Regarding preliminary versions that have circulated, Pesqueira indicated that the Police will await the results of the autopsy to be conducted by the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif), as well as official medical reports, before issuing definitive conclusions.
The incident took place on Sunday. According to preliminary information, the victim was alone in the residence while the singer was fulfilling artistic engagements. The perpetrators lay in wait at the property, attacked him upon his arrival and took money and various belongings.
