Deported Dominican arrested in connection with homicide in La Altagracia
The National Police detained Frailin Cedeño García on Saturday, a Dominican citizen deported from the United States, in connection with an alleged homicide committed in La Altagracia province, according to reporting by listindiario.com.
Cedeño García arrived in the country on a flight from the United States and was initially processed by migration authorities at the Vacacional de Haina. Subsequently, he was handed over to members of the National Police's Fugitives Department, in coordination with the National Central Bureau of INTERPOL Santo Domingo and the General Directorate of Migration (DGM).
Against the detainee stands arrest and conduct order No. 00107-2023, issued on 9 January 2023 by the Second Court of Inquiry acting as the Judicial Services Office of Permanent Care of the Judicial District of La Altagracia. The order was issued for alleged violation of article 295 of the Dominican Penal Code, relating to homicide.
Cedeño García will be placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authorities to continue with the corresponding legal proceedings.
