Two homicide suspects present themselves voluntarily to Police in Santiago

Aníbal Taveras Luzón, alias "Aníbal", and Argenis Alejandro Taveras Genao, alias "Argenis", presented themselves on Saturday to the National Police in Santiago, according to remolacha.net. Both are being sought through arrest warrants for their alleged participation in a homicide that occurred in January 2014.

The two men face charges of criminal association and homicide in connection with the death of Alejandro Jean Peña Guzmán, who died on 26 January 2014 in the La Herradura sector of that city.

The surrender took place at the Santiago Homicide Division in the presence of journalists and through their legal representative, following calls from authorities for them to appear voluntarily.

Both remain in police custody and will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office for the corresponding legal proceedings.
