According to remolacha.net, one of five men sent to preventive detention for the alleged contract killing of community leader José Frank Valerio was on the payroll of the Los Alcarrizos Municipal Government at the time of the crime.

The individual in question is Daimy Hernández Zorrilla, whom the Public Prosecutor's Office identifies as the person who allegedly ordered, planned and paid RD$50,000 to carry out the murder.
