The National Police arrested José Luis Fabián Rodríguez on Tuesday, the former romantic partner of 37-year-old Loyca Alvarado Adames, whose body was found lifeless in undergrowth near the Santo Domingo Circunvalación motorway in the vicinity of Haina, according to eldia.com.do.
The arrest was executed pursuant to judicial order No. 0229-September-2026. Colonel Diego Pesqueira, spokesman for the National Police, stated that Fabián Rodríguez will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office for corresponding legal proceedings.
The victim had been reported missing on Sunday by her relatives. On Monday at midday she was found dead, bearing a gunshot wound. The body was transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) for autopsy.
Pesqueira noted that the exact circumstances of the death remain under investigation, directed by the Public Prosecutor's Office of the National District. The development of the judicial process is awaited to determine further details about the incident.
