Gunfire in Boca Chica claims life of rapper Diddy Glow and another man

On Saturday, 12 September 2026, Dominican rapper Alexis Delgado Ortiz, known artistically as Diddy Glow or 'La bestia', died after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds in Boca Chica, a municipality in the province of Santo Domingo. According to noticiasrcn.com, the artist was 31 years old and had begun his musical career in freestyle street battles.

The attack occurred whilst Delgado Ortiz was gathered with several people observing betta fish in the area. A vehicle approached the location and several armed individuals descended from it, opening fire suddenly and without warning.

Seriously wounded, the rapper was immediately transferred to a medical centre, where he died shortly afterwards despite the efforts of specialist staff. In the same attack, Jonathan Villanueva, known as 'Cotuí', also lost his life.

The Dominican Republic Police indicated in the initial lines of investigation that the targeted attack would not have been directed against Diddy Glow, but rather that the artist was hit in the crossfire. Investigators continue to gather evidence to clarify the circumstances of the incident.

Following confirmation of the rapper's death, reggaeton artist Arcángel dedicated a message to him on his Instagram stories: "May he rest in peace, Diddy Glow".

Among the most recognised works in Alexis Delgado Ortiz's discography are 'Algarete', 'Diddy contra el mundo' and 'La para se siente', as well as collaborations such as 'Baja a vivirla RMX' and 'Entolinao'.
