Seven fugitives sought in Santiago for homicides and attempted homicides
The National Police maintains an active search for seven people wanted for homicide and attempted homicide in Santiago de los Caballeros and municipalities in the province.

The National Police of the Dominican Republic maintains an active search for seven people linked to cases of homicide and attempted homicide in Santiago de los Caballeros and other municipalities in the province, according to elnuevodiario.com.do. The Central Cibao Regional Directorate confirmed that all those wanted have active court orders, and one of them also has a sentence with established judicial responsibility.
Jerson Then Rojas, alias "Pato", aged 29, heads the list. Against him is arrest warrant No. 2026-AJ0073424-001, issued on 25 August 2026, for his alleged involvement in the aggravated homicide of Ramón de León Pérez, alias "Neo", which occurred on 16 August.
Johan Alexander Valdez Cabrera, alias "El Pancho", aged 21, is wanted for his alleged participation in an attempted homicide against Benllu Cabrera Rodríguez, Brandy Tavarez and Darlin Miguel Tavarez Domínguez, an incident recorded on 1 July 2026.
Erinson Manuel Hernández Reyes, alias "El Gordo", also aged 21, is named in connection with the homicide of Víctor Manuel Espinal Luna, alias "Vitico", which occurred on 7 August of this year.
Eduardo Paúl Pérez Mercado, alias "Macá", aged 39, is wanted for his alleged participation in the homicide of Jesús María Cabrera Peña, committed on José Antonio Hungría street.
Christopher Eugenio Acevedo Metz, alias "Christopher La Rabia", aged 36, is the only one of the seven with judicial responsibility judicially established by Sentence No. 371-04-2024-SSEN-00050, handed down on 23 February 2024.
Maicol Miguel Jiménez, alias "Maikito", appears on the list for his alleged participation in an attempted homicide against Yordy Manuel Díaz Rivera, alias "Mello", recorded on 31 August 2026.
Closing the list is Víctor González Martínez, wanted in connection with a case involving homicide, torture and barbarity, rape and arson against Yulenny Carolina Frías León. The incident allegedly occurred on 29 March 2026 in the municipality of Sabana Iglesia.
The police institution urged those wanted to surrender through whatever means they deem appropriate to answer to the judicial authorities. It also requested that any citizen with information regarding the whereabouts of those sought communicate it confidentially to the competent authorities.
