On Thursday evening at approximately 17:57, police received a report of a traffic accident on Laagna Road in Tallinn, near Mustakivi Bridge. Upon arrival, it emerged that a motor vehicle had collided with a street lighting post.
According to initial information, a 40-year-old man lost control of his BMW and drove into the structure. Following the incident, both the man at the wheel and a passenger in the car left the scene of the incident.
Police have initiated an investigation to clarify the circumstances. Under the law, it is mandatory to remain at the scene of a traffic accident and notify the authorities. Leaving the scene may result in additional penalties.
