Military drone with five kilogrammes of explosives found in Estonian meadow
A local resident mowing in Rõuge parish found a military drone on the evening of 10 June in tall grass, with parts of the drone also found in a tree. Approximately five kilogrammes of explosives were attached to it, according to Harry Puusepp, head of the Estonian Internal Security Service (ISS) bureau.
According to Puusepp, the service received notice of the discovery on the same evening. "This person discovered the drone in tall grass while he was mowing hay. Some parts of the drone were also found in a tree, so apparently it fell from there," he explained.
The drone could have been one of three about which a warning was issued on 3 June. Estonian broadcaster ERR speculates that it may be connected to an attack carried out by Ukraine on Russia at the same time.
