A former Tallinn prison worker, who was attacked by a man accused of terrorism, did not disclose to the court that she had received a substantial financial compensation from the state.

Harju County Court judge Merle Parts found that former Tallinn prison worker Ervin deliberately misled the court during the legal proceedings. The man did not report that he had received a compensation of over 112,000 euros from the state.
The money was allocated to him by Tallinn prison after a young man Jevgeni Andrejenok, who is suspected of terrorism, attacked him last summer. The incident took place on 23 July. In February of this year, the prison decided to pay Ervin a sum equivalent to four years' salary — specifically 112,271 euros and four cents — due to partial loss of working capacity.
State prosecutor Gardi Anderson submitted a document to the court on Tuesday proving the payment. According to the judge, it is inadmissible if parties to proceedings conceal material information from the court.
