On Midsummer Saturday, police and border guard officials and victim support representatives patrolled together in Pärnumaa. On that day, six cases of domestic violence were dealt with, and in one instance the victim received immediate guidance on how to proceed.
Across the country during the holiday period, police received 330 reports of crimes, of which 270 were related to intimate partner violence. In the Pärnu region, twelve such cases were registered between 19 and 24 June.
