Criminal case opened at Sillamäe school following teacher's violent conduct
Following an incident at Sillamäe Vanalinna School in which a teacher used physical force against a minor, police have launched an investigation. The victim has been formally identified.

On 20 May, a serious incident occurred at Sillamäe Vanalinna School, where one member of the teaching staff used physical force against a fourth-class pupil. During the incident, children fled the room shouting and calling for help. A cleaner in the corridor responded to the situation.
The educational institution confirmed that this was an exceptional case and immediately dismissed the teacher from service. Police were informed of the incident and launched a criminal investigation. The minor has been formally designated as a victim in the proceedings.
