Drug trafficking suspect arrested for bicycle-based operations
Spain's National Police have arrested a 40-year-old man in Valencia who was distributing cocaine by bicycle across various neighbourhoods in the city, according to Cadena SER. Officers seized 22 grammes of cocaine, 4,425 euros in cash and a precision scale.
The investigation began following information received about drug trafficking activity. Investigators identified the suspect operating from a residence on Gran Vía de Ramón y Cajal, in the Abastos neighbourhood, where he was distributing narcotics throughout the city.
The detainee used the bicycle as a transport method to avoid detection whilst distributing the merchandise. When officers discovered that the man was planning to leave Valencia and travel to his country, they executed a search and seizure at his residence.
The arrested man has no previous criminal record. He has been handed over to the judicial authorities.
