Cádiz police arrest three people in drug-dealing operations in Cerro del Moro
The National Police has conducted two operations in Cerro del Moro over four days following pressure from residents. Drugs were seized, including several wraps of cocaine and cannabis.

New arrests in anti-drugs operation
According to andaluciainformacion.es, the National Police has executed two operations in Cerro del Moro in Cádiz over four days, following three weeks of neighbourhood mobilisations against crime in the area. Three arrests have been made and material related to drug trafficking has been seized.
On Tuesday, officers arrested a 41-year-old man after he threatened residents with death when they challenged him near a doorway on Grazalema street. The detainee also threatened police officers when they requested documentation for his electric scooter. A search of his belongings found equipment for drug use. The detainee has a criminal record according to police registers.
Raids and drug seizures
On Friday, National Police officers raided two homes on Barbate street in the early morning hours. The operation resulted in two further arrests and the seizure of wraps of cocaine, cannabis, precision scales, cut materials and packaging equipment. Investigators are keeping the operation open without ruling out further arrests.
Neighbourhood watch and persistent concerns
Residents are welcoming the operations as a step towards recovering neighbourhood safety. They have organised into citizen patrols and are calling daily protests around 20.00 hours. However, they warn that Saturday night saw incidents following the police presence on Friday. Residents are insisting on intensifying controls, especially on Lacave avenue and Grazalema street, identified as sales points. Residents of the Santa María neighbourhood, who carried out a similar campaign in April, will meet shortly with activists from Cerro del Moro to share experiences.
