Woman arrested in Palma del Río for robbing and assaulting an elderly man at his home
A resident of Palma del Río was arrested after assaulting an elderly man in his home along with an accomplice. They stole his wallet and 300 euros; the victim suffered minor injuries.

According to ABC, the Guardia Civil has arrested a resident of Palma del Río (Córdoba) as the suspected perpetrator of crimes of breaking and entering and aggravated robbery against an elderly person.
The incident occurred on Saturday, 22 August at a residence in the town. Two people—a man and a woman—entered the home and assaulted the owner, with whom they struggled. They took his wallet containing personal documents and 300 euros in cash. The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the assault.
The Guardia Civil deployed immediately to the scene and, after verifying the reported incident, opened an investigation to identify, locate and arrest those responsible. Thanks to the operation launched and collaboration with the Local Police of Palma del Río, the woman was arrested. The judicial authority ordered her remand in custody.
The proceedings initiated and the detainee were placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority. The Guardia Civil continues efforts to identify and arrest the second person who participated in the assault, whose identity has not been made public.
The armed institute emphasised its "commitment to public safety and the fight against crimes that affect residents of the province", highlighting that "the speed of response, meticulous investigative work and effective coordination with other police forces are essential so that those who attack the most vulnerable are identified and brought before the courts in the shortest time possible".
